No, this is a clean save. I did have this issue on another playthrough though, and abandoned it partially because of it.

 

If it helps, I'll attach a papyrus log from when I reload after simple slavery has been triggered. (And of course, BF decides to dump a stack Geez.)

 

Edit: This time, SD+ was triggered then I was sent to SLUTS.

Apparently, this issue doesn't occur every time. As a matter of fact, if I save while in the cage, exit and relaunch the game then initialize simple slavery, everything is triggering just fine.

 

However if after that I reload the save, for example to reroll the choice of slavery, I get 2 events. I'll try to launch the savegame prior to SSLV see if I get duplicate while in a "clean start".

 

Could somebody try to reproduce my issue?

  • Trigger simple slavery
  • Save while in cage
  • Start the simple slavery quest
  • Get enslaved
  • Reload cage
  • Start the simple slavery quest

Thank you. That is very strange. I really need to start adding error checks. Does the error happen if you quick save and then quick load? Also, see if it happens on a new game. Coc to sslv_market

Well, it doesn't seem to be consistent. A way I managed to reproduce it was to reload the autosave, but that might just be because the issue was already present before the save occurred. What seems to happen is that something is firing multiple `ChoosingSlavery()` (or the script containing that function). When that happens, I usually get several fade to black, the auction dialogue are stacked (several bidding wars) and the end are the different outcomes coming the one after the other.

 

As I said, if I save while in the cage and before speaking to the jailer (which triggers the quest), I am usually safe. I have no idea why it is so. If it is possible to check if there are multiple instances of the script running, or what launch the script, that would help tremendously.

 

So far my suspect, and just by rule of thumb, would be creature framework (because it's always that one). Or events that still have to occurs, sometimes I loot several containers and cursed loot fire multiple time despite the cooldown. i.e. there are still things running in the background and somehow that makes simpleslavery to trigger multiple time. Now, this is nothing more than a wild guess, but my uneducated mind can't think of another reason.

Yes, DD3. The one in beta right? I believe the _sd* errors are from the mod still using SD2, because those functions are deprecated in SD+ from skyrimll.

Yeah, the thing is sluts shouldn't have been invoked at all. And I believe SD failed because I wasn't near the npc when the enslavement process was taking effect (because transported to SLUTS). SimpleSlavery should just send you to one possible outcome, not 3 or 5 at the same time. I know I've said it was triggering 2 quests, but if I look at the "debug: sending modevent" and the actual effect in game, I had more than 2 events running. And that's without saying all the call SimpleSlavery make without writing anything in the log.

 

Thanks for going through the log file. I think my main issue is a too heavily modded game, or unstable mods, or both. After having installed beingfemale, I started to notice a lot of stack dumping caused by the infamous "suspended stack count above the warning threshold". I don't know if BF introduced that issue or helped discovering it, but there is something badly scripted somewhere and I don't know what.

SS only picks one scenario (or is supposed to). Before the mcm, it picked one, went through the list of associated mods to see if the chosen mod was installed, and started over if it was not. But it has been years since that system was replaced.

 

My guess is this: there was some confusion when da was parsing the defeat options and started sd and ss. SS won because it takes less time to move someone than to go through all the things that happen when sd kicks in. SS now has the dhlp toggle, so that turned off sd's attempts to wrest control. SS picked SLUTS as your slavery outcome, but as soon as SS released control the dhlp toggle flipped off and sd resumed its hijack.

Well, in this case I was sent to simpleslavery through cursed loot. So DA and defeat shouldn't have interfered.

 

If I understand correctly, the scenario is picked when we talk to the jailer. Then the bidder discuss and the player get sold. What happens when I experience the issue is that the bidders will fight over the player as many time as scenarios are in the queue. A discussion for the SD+ scenario, then a discussion for sluts, then I get several notifications that I get sent off. So SS works as intended, but more than once at a time. And a way to fight this behavior off is to completely restart the game and be sure that no other script/effect are interfering with the process. So, not really a SS issue.

 

Edit: I probably should restart a playthrough without creature framework and all mod that requires it, see if my game behave properly.

Damn, I really liked my theory. It even explained why da's calming effect was being applied.

To be honest, it was one of my theories too. Thus my asking for a way to get into simpleslavery independently. But as it turns out, simpleslavery isn't starting unless you speak to the NPC.

 

And now for a real bug report:

 

Once you are lead out of the cage to start the bidding war, the player can still move around. If so, the player can go and loot the barrels next to the cage or use the shrine. Looting the barrels can trigger a cursed loot event and interfere with simple slavery. I haven't tried attacking anybody, but I guess I could have done that too. Sadly, running away through the doors isn't an option.

 

If I have the "shameful cover" animation enabled, I believe it's also part of cursed loot, the player will break the "bound" animation and try to cover the naughty ends.

Yes, DD3. The one in beta right? I believe the _sd* errors are from the mod still using SD2, because those functions are deprecated in SD+ from skyrimll.

"sd patches" is a specific mod name made for a much older version of sd, if you are using it you've broken sd on your own and broken the simple slavery outcome as a result

 

if you're not using "sd patches" find out mods you have that add the script names in the log above "iddelibs", idde, etc...

being sent to simple slavery thru cursed loot with death alternative enabled only worsens your situation - cursed loot even specifically addresses that as a conflict you'll need to COMPLETELY disable death alternative Or disable cursed loot's combat outcomes

you really should follow thru with the previous choice on trying without cf

Still getting the double equip of DD with on screen warning and premature end of bondage adventure quests don't know what is doing it.

we need the logs of the double equip dd issue, but a screenshot of the warning would help too - it sounds to me like you're using a mod that's modified the dd items in a way  to make itself incompatible

Yeah, people say that but don't actually point to the specific option to disable. The only thing that resemble "combat outcome" in cursed loot are the sex attack through surrender, which is disabled.

 

I have to be more specific with what happened with cursed loot: I looted a container, the cursed loot event fired and chose Simple Slavery as an outcome. No combat.

 

And yeah, I'm currently in the process of disabling CF. The possibility of being raped by trolls is a nice addition in devious skyrim, but if it makes my game more stable I can play without it.

unfortunately those are loose files so nobody's mods can overwrite their scripts, best we can do for now is to look for an update at "xazPrisonOverhaul_V033 Patch 8g"

Yeah, people say that but don't actually point to the specific option to disable. The only thing that resemble "combat outcome" in cursed loot are the sex attack through surrender, which is disabled.

 

I have to be more specific with what happened with cursed loot: I looted a container, the cursed loot event fired and chose Simple Slavery as an outcome. No combat.

take your pick, but if you encountered this thru a container loot you might be best to disable daymoyl Or you'll need to also disable this "experimental simple slavery" outcome of cursed loot that comes with a warning:

Simple Slavery and Maria Prostitution

 

I was sent to simple slavery auction and bought by one of Maria pimp I defined previously.

 

The problem is that I was sent to this pimp before and he was killed, as there is no detection of killed NPC, I was now the whore of a dead pimp.

 

I resolved it by closing the quest with Maria cheating.

 

Conclusion all worked well, but I should have removed the NPC from potential pimp when he was killed.

I thought I turned ME off in the mcm after the first time for this very reason. my recommendation for ME is to ask the owner to sell you as soon as you get sent to him. Some day I should fix that...

Yes, the sex attacks are disabled as a whole because I wasn't sure. If the combat surrender is the only thing that has to be disabled, all the better.

Are you perhaps using an earlier version than 5.5? Because SD+ requirement for simple slavery shouldn't be a thing. I have the warning about SD+ on the two options above though, which make sense.

Hi,

 

This logspam has already been addressed by inte in the latest versions of Devious Devices Equip. Install the current version of that mod and it should work smoothly with SD+. If I remember correctly, one of the recent updates of Prison Overhaul Patches also came with improved behaviour towards SD+, so running version 8g should be a must if you also want to use SD+.

Earlier this month, BralorMarr posted a new version Death Alternative (v.7.0.1).

 

I just gave it a try on a new game and I'm happy to report that it seems to work well with Simple Slavery 4.6.

 

DA 7 is really a nice step ahead in my opinion, it seems to run much smoother on my Skyrim and fires faster and more reliably. Even when getting one-shot killed by an enemy archer on level 1 (or rather, two-shot killed: one to enter bleedout, one for the kill) the transition through bleedout to the blackout scenarios worked fine. The four "Captured" extra blackout scenarios have also been updated to the latest version and work much better than before (for the first time I can play all four of them, so yay!). SD+ users should visit skyrimll's support thread though, SD+ is apparently not yet compatible with the latest DA, the transition after blackout doesn't work. A little detour through Simple Slavery is a solid workaround for that issue though.

Only minor problem is that I seem to have two instance of Simple Slavery working : I am sent to SS waiting cage, I enter the auction, blackout screen then reenter the auction, then auction proceed, bought by someone, and sometimes auction reopen. This time winning bidder wins the lots (I mean wins my incredibely pretty and sexy character ;) )
